Forward design study in 2009 by Redbox Harris Hobbs undertook detail design and construction in 2011/2012

Public realm upgrade, including accessible toilet, new paving, ramps, carpark modifications, lighting, and retaining walls.

Project included artworks by Ian Marr, Julian Laffan and Geoff Farquhar Still. Ian produced carved slate pieces depicting themes around ‘flight’, Scullin having a street name theme related to aviation and early pioneers in flight. Julian and Geoff collaborated to produce cast concrete ‘suitcases’ and ‘wing’ forms to act a s a low playspace. The pergola was a collaborative effort by the design team.
