Kambah garden
The design concept has delivered a series of garden rooms, each with a particular function; that adds diversity and character to the garden. Ground planes are modified, through the raised deck in the rear garden, to take advantage of breezes and views over the adjacent open space.
The front garden provides for an accessible entry from the pedestrian spine (steps are deep enough for a walking frame), through a series of opposing stone walls.
Screening from neighbouring dwellings is provided by a steel planter – which also adds contrasting contemporary textures with the stone walls and smooth face brick of the buildings.
Overland flow runs across the lower portion of the site, connecting with existing overland drainage patterns.
The rear garden consists of a series of spaces that lead to a raised deck, to catch the breeze and views to the surrounding landscape.
